Things In Life You Control
There are some aspects of life that we can’t control. Although it’s normal to dwell on those things, it’s not healthy and can sometimes lead to frustration, uncertainty and anxiety. Fortunately, there are things and events you can control. By focusing your time and energy on those you can significantly improve the quality of your life.
What you do. You choose your actions and you are responsible for the effects of those actions.
What you say. The words you speak or write are also consciously chosen. Like actions, they have an impact on your life and the lives of those you contact.
Positive attitude. You have a responsibility to be the best you can be at your job and with your family.
The people you associate with. Your friends can either lift you up or bring you down. You make the decision which type of friends you wish to have.
Your basic physical health. Our health is influenced by genetics, the environment and exposure. But it is also a result of things we choose: healthy vs. poor eating habits, exercise vs. no exercise, sleep vs. lack of sleep.
Be smart with your finances. Many people fall into the trap of spending more money than they earn. Make the decision to save as much as you can.
Your time. You choose how to spend your time and how much of your time to give to various activities. You'll never get more time than the 24 hours in a day!
